Thursday the 7th marked the release of two useful updates, one from Google and another from SugarSync, the former now including support for multiple accounts and AirPrint and the latter making photo backups easy along with listen/view as you download for audio/video downloads.
SugarSync’s latest update 4.1.0 for iOS allows users to upload images captured by their cell phone cameras directly to their account and share them on any SugarSync enabled phone or tablet. Accompanying that update is a useful feature that allows users to see folders in mobile apps reflecting their status with icons more or less the same as found on SugarSync’s desktop client. Some will like another feature more. This allows you to start viewing a video or listen to an audio file before it has completed downloading. The update size is 6MB and is available on App Store.
It is only a couple of days since Google Drive version 2.1.0 has been released for iOS, an update that makes life a little bit easier for users by allowing an easier single login process. It is common for users to have a personal Gmail account while they may have an official Google Apps account provided by their employer in which case they had to login individually. The recent update allows single login and switching between identities on the latest Google Drive iOS app update.
Another feature new to the update is support for local wireless printing protocol for Apple’s AirPrint as well as internet-based printing service of Google’s Cloud Print. The update size is 24MB and is available from App Store.
